Sometimes it’s good to have a small audience. Less eyes to call me out on the inconsistencies. But it’s not really about the eyes of others. Can’t hide from myself. So we just let it go. Troubleshoot, find out where we went wrong and pay closer attention.
Here’s a quick theory on how the “whirled” became a globe. A bunch of philosopher polymaths gathered, over centuries to measure, (meter) the earth (geo). Thus geometry was born. The theoretical “shape” of the all, which can have no shape because that would imply edges, was a circle, primarily because of the math. Most of what we count & measure today is based on circles & spirals. Thus we have a global planet, revolving on an axis, spiraling around a burning sphere that’s dragging it and many other orbs through space as it, (the Sun) itself spirals across what we accept as “space.”
And, it may or may not be “true.” (It probably isn’t.) We cannot not know that which is greater than ourselves. Ourselves are greater than ourselves, which is why we cannot know, even the components of our vessels. So why ever fret over it?
What do you suppose is the “force” that compels humans to explain an environment that is greater than themselves?
