This morning, I got up and had a cup of coffee, then I ate breakfast and played.with Hawthorne. At 8:30 a.m.,I saw my dad in his wheelchair at the end of our lane opening the gate. Then he went to the lawn mower shed and got on his Cub Cadet.
I walked over to talk to my mom and was getting the scoop on her health when Dad drove the lawn mower up to the back door. He said it wasn't cutting grass.
We suspected there was grass caught up in the mower blades because my nephew borrows it but doesn't wash it down afterward. I had Dad drive it up on a pair of ramps and I hosed it down real good. We cleaned out a lot of clogged up dirt under the mower deck. Afterward, I took a shower.
After the shower, I gathered up all of our and my mom's empty 5-gallon water jugs and put them in the truck. By then, Dad had determined we needed to buy a new deck belt. The one on the mower was loose.
I went to Tractor Supply to buy a deck belt, but they didn't have the size we needed. So, I took Theresa grocery shopping.
When we returned home, we ate lunch and I did a lttle work. Then I watched TV with my parents until evening. Dad and I went back to the mower. I tried to tighten the belt by adjusting the mower deck but was unsuccessful.
I took Hawthorne for a short walk to shut the gate and ended the day with more than 9,000 activity points.
