Perseid Meteor Shower 2025: A Spectacular Flash of Cosmic Light The night sky of August 12 and 13 will be illuminated in the Northern Hemisphere, including Bangladesh, with about 100 meteors per hour. These meteors, created by the collision of the Earth with dust particles from Comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle, enter the atmosphere at a speed of about 59 kilometers per second and shine as fiery shooting stars. It will be best seen from midnight to early morning on August 13. This cosmic event will be visible from anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere, including Bangladesh, in a clear and dark sky. You should look towards the Perseus constellation, as the meteors will appear to be coming from a point called ‘Eta Persei’. New viewers can easily find the Perseus constellation using the star map app on their smartphone. Although the moonlight will be bright this year, it will still be possible to enjoy the bright meteors.
