So, I was slightly hesitant to come back here and post this guitar cover up. I posted this same video about 2.5-3 years ago, so I sort of felt like I was milking it by posting it again. However, shortly after posting it back then it got hit with a copyright claim from a random company based out of South America that had nothing to do with the band or label involved in the music. Normally when you get copyright claimed, you just can't make revenue off your video which is totally fine with me, since it is a guitar cover. Sometimes your video will get blocked in 1-2 random countries as well, no biggie there either. This company however blocked it from being viewed worldwide, meaning it was essentially just deleted from Youtube. I tried disputing it, but that failed a few weeks later and at that point I just said fuck it, no reason to waste more of my time.
Apparently since this band has become active again in recent times, something has changed with their label and controlling the copyright because now I'm allowed to have this video up without an issue with the correct copyright claim. So, while I don't wanna feel like I'm milking anything I'm also just posting this as a mini W for myself since it's annoying putting time and effort into doing something and having some crusty fucking weird company just stomp it into the dirt. I'm glad it's back up, and I guess now is the best time to upload it anyways since "Chiodos" is touring again and more relevant than a few years ago. If you're wondering why the name is in quotes, it's because the vocalist didn't bother to invite any of the actual band members to reunite and brought in hired hands that aren't involved in the scene really. You know, just some turbo douche stuff.
Anywho, if you check out the cover I appreciate it and hope you enjoy :)

What a level, bro! My blood felt alive with the roar of your guitar. I hadn't heard the band before, but okay. I already followed them on social media. They are, as we would say in my country, cabilla ha ha ha...

Respect for getting the cover back up after all that copyright hassle. Your playing sounds great, and itβs good timing with the band being active again. Keep it up!
this is totally amazing bro!
Chiodos, hah! So much drama with this band - changing members like socks. I have a love-hate relationship with that band. I loved their one Album "Illuminaudio" with vocalist Brandon Bolmer, which lasted only two years (2010-12). Every track on that album is an absolute gem. However, since their original singer came back, the band sounds too 'screamo' to me - I just can't get past the aspects of it that I find kinda 'lame'. Granted the band never took itself too seriously and some of the themes are just damn-right whimsical (including Illuminaudio). But the quality of Bolmer's singing is simply unmatched in my book.
Here is a song from "Illuminaudio", its rock-opera about a zombie attack π:

BTW, I like your cover too - I definitely like covers on the heavier side, and yours delivered! The sound quality is not great, but anyone who listens to music as much as I do, would totally dig your playing π€.
