Log in Turquoise Water

The simple beauty of a log in the water, stuck amongst the rocks, trying to break free, and eventually will. Photos taken near the Nipika hiking trails, at the Cross river. A mighty little river which flows toward the Kootenay river. Such a fun afternoon it was, and the temperature was nearly perfect too! I love those kind of days. That turquoise water is the star of show there today! The log is a nice find too, I wonder if it just fell in or was washed downstream during high river flow? Awesome pictures, I love how that silt produced by the glaciers makes the water so beautiful.

My guess is that is was washed downstream. The turquoise water just adds a cherry on top to that hike. Thanks for looking.
