Today I bring you these photographs from a party attended by many people from the LGBT community, many of whom were dressed in a very diverse and colorful way. I am not personally a member of the community, but I know many people, and through my line of work, it's normal to meet people from the community.

Hoy les traigo estas fotografías de una fiesta donde asisten muchas personas de la comunidad LGBT y muchas van vestidas de una forma bastante variopinta. Yo personalmente no soy miembro de la comunidad, pero conozco muchas personas y por el medio en el que me manejo es normal conocer personas de la comunidad.

These photographs are ones where I decided to photograph those who seemed interesting to me, and I didn't charge for it. It was purely for the pleasure of having the photos. For them, it was quite pleasant because their outfits were quite striking in some way.

Estas fotografías son unas donde decidí fotografiar a los que me parecieron interesantes y no cobré por ello, sino que fue por el placer de tener las fotos. Para ellos fue bastante grato debido a que sus outfits eran bastante llamativos de alguna forma.

Fashion is a form of expression that I don't personally engage with much, but I understand that it is a powerful form of expression for those who understand it best. And even for those who don't, it's something that ends up permeating us due to the strong influence it has on modern society related to consumption—though I don't mean to say that fashion is only about consumption, even if it was born with that objective.

La moda es una forma de expresión con la cual no me manejo, pero entiendo que es una forma de expresión que es poderosa para quienes la comprenden mejor y para los que no igual es algo que nos termina permeando debido a la fuerte influencia que tiene en la sociedad moderna relacionada con el consumo, pero no con esto quiero decir que la moda solo se trate de consumo, pero sí nació con ese objetivo.

What is art ends up being so because art appropriates it. I think it's easy to perceive what is art and what is not, but even when you're sure, it's very difficult to define what an artistic expression is.

Lo que es arte termina siéndolo porque el arte se lo apropia. Creo que es fácil percibir qué es arte y qué no, pero incluso estando seguro, es muy difícil definir qué es una expresión artística.
