| 🇫🇷 J'ai écrit ce livre il y a déjà 15 ans. L'histoire d'un voyage en mer de 3 ans, effectué pour la plongée sous-marine entre la Nouvelle Zélande et Mayotte. Un voyage en Mélanésie, en Asie, à travers l'Océan Indien qui m'a ramené changé sur une île que je connaissais déjà et que je garde bien au chaud au fond de mon cœur, Mayotte. Il y a dans ce livre, un récit, des extrait du carnet de voyage, des extraits du journal de plongée, des cartes, des traits d'humeur, et trois ans de ma vie. Je le publie désormais sur Hive en espérant que vous le lirez et le partagerez. Certaines photographies ont peut-être déjà été publiées sur Hive, par avance je m'en excuse, mais elles sont aujourd'hui publiées dans un autre contexte. 🇬🇧I wrote this book 15 years ago. The story of a 3-year sea trip, made for scuba diving between New Zealand and Mayotte. A trip to Melanesia, in Asia, through the Indian Ocean that brought me changed on an island that I already knew and that I keep warm at the bottom of my heart, Mayotte. There is in this book, a story, excerpts from the travel diary, extracts from the dive journal, maps, moods, and three years of my life. I now publish it on Hive hoping you will read and share it. VOICI LA PARTIE 12 - En Français
🇫🇷 Plus j’avance vers le nord, plus le troc prend de la place dans la vie des locaux. Une ligne de pêche pour deux papayes, un paquet de sucre me donnera des aubergines, et un beau poisson me donnera droit à un vrai panier garni.
J’arrive aux îles des Banks, à l’extrémité Nord du pays. A peine arrivé, plusieurs personnes s’approchent en canots pour me demander des nouvelles du reste de l’archipel. Mais de quoi parlent-ils au juste? “On a eu une vague qui est montée et descendue plusieurs fois”. Le tsunami qui a tant touché les Samoa a été perçu jusqu’ici. J’étais en pleine mer. Une vague de 2 cm a du passer sous la coque d’Aurora, imperceptible. Mais arrivée sur les côtes, cette vague peut atteindre des tailles dévastatrices. Le Vanuatu ne déclarera aucune perte humaine ou matérielle. Mais que la région est active. Une semaine plus tard je me trouve sur Reef Island par 20m de fond, quand une vibration me saisit au plus profond, et me fait perdre toute orientation. Durant plusieurs secondes je me bats pour conserver ma lucidité. Devant moi, une énorme patate bouge comme s’il s’agissait d’un vulgaire caillou. La radio Australienne annoncera plus tard un tremblement de terre de 7,4 sur l’échelle de Richter. Après tant d’émotion un petit tour sur ces îles inhabitées de Reef Island est le bienvenu. Tout y est calme, lisse, beau, sauvage. Je marche à moitié nu sur ces bancs de sables émergeants et je me mets à chanter une vieille chanson de Brel.
