Had a conversation the other night with another hiver who went something like "why do you call out project's for doing something "bad" when you're doing so much self-voting yourself?" which, you know, annoys me a bit. Not just that it's not technically true but to think I'd be that dumb that I'd get myself in the attention of others who will most definitely try and turn every stone to find dirt on you when you try and break up their voteselling/trading/etc. Their go-to was the automated poshtoken posts and comments that we've had to rely on lately to generate some liquidity for our redditposh activity so I figured I'd make a post addressing what's going on there and at the same time provide some stats of how things have gone so far.
If you're not aware of poshtoken and what "nonprofit" means there from my perspective, here's a quick rundown. The project was launched fairly, meaning there were no tokens or hive rewards going to the founder/creator just for having created it. There were however rewards going to devs and sharers for participating in the project, this doesn't exclude me as I have participated in it myself too, meaning I have and could continue earning rewards from it much like anyone else has the equal chance - I think that's still considered running a project nonprofit.
I have not paid myself for the countless hours that's gone into coming up with new features, coming up with how the distribution of rewards occur and all other things that used to work back when twitter still allowed us to operate on there - something I plan on doing differently with Holozing. I.e. there I will be counting the amount of hours and effort that's gone into creating it and eventually when the project does better I'd send myself some rewards similar to how developers and other contributors have been getting.
Okay, so what is the state of posh right now. The main rewarding mechanism currently is earning rewards for successfully sharing hive links on reddit. You can easily track this by checking the @redditposh comments, it mentions what post got shared under the shared post with an embed to the reddit submission and then it also notes who the sharer is if they have connected their reddit and hive account on hiveposh.com. This means that when someone registered shares a hive link on reddit and it does somewhat well there (gets upvotes, engagement and potentially drives traffic towards the shared hive post), we also have curators looking through the comments to give them hive rewards on top of the daily POSH rewards as depicted in the @redditposh posts.
Now where is the liquidity issue that's been forcing us to vote up @poshtoken posts and comments?
To make sure to give shareres all of the rewards in liquid form we have @redditposh send beneficiaries to @nomnomnomnom, this is a service that works much similar to @reward.app but compared to reward.app it does not take a fee for liquidating rewards (1% to 0%). This is to keep the project nonprofit.
With the increase in people using redditposh lately and getting better at it, i.e. some posts doing this well as highlighted by @x-rain:
We've been making sure to properly reward these shares with upvotes, as much as we have been able to with our voting power from ocdb and some times zingtoken as this is something that benefits the ecosystem as a whole. 17,000 views on one of our most popular front-ends. However our liquidation service has not been able to catch up with all the activity, i.e. there's been too many rewards for it to liquidate them fast enough and unstake the hivepower to send out the rewards. This is why we've been trying to generate extra liquidity to send its way so that redditposh can catch up on the missing rewards which currently sit at around 3790 hive.
I asked @hivetrending for some help to fetch some stats on how much rewards redditposh has sent out so far since sharing activity not only took off but got a lot better over time.
Top earners so far:
4204.883 davideownzall 2513.981 loading 2411.743 theworldaroundme 1683.443 dkkfrodo 1527.617 tsnaks 1109.906 x-rain 1070.793 blkchn 916.115 oldmans 507.139 mauromar 316.007 guurry123 246.928 uwelang 148.034 hive.fund 146.992 wissenskrieger 131.719 kur8 128.263 agrante
Total Hive sent out to everyone from redditposh: 21355.962
Now how much does this equate in traffic? It's kind of difficult to fetch that data, but if you follow @x-rain you can check the weekly contests where sharers share some of their best shares and how much impressions they got on reddit while also checking how they did on our two front-ends that count views. Sharers can also earn delegations from poshtoken and some hbd per week.
The reason this is important, and I'm sure the sharers can weigh in on this is that learning and getting good at sharing hive links on reddit takes a lot of dedication, time, effort and trial and error. Once you learn the tricks and start finding subreddits that don't just instantly ban you or your shares cause it's "an unknown blogsite" it can be one of the best places to attempt to bring traffic to our ecosystem and is currently one of the most effective ways of doing so.
Thus poshtoken, redditposh and other projects involved in our ecosystem can be considered similar to projects like hbd.funder/hbdsabilizer or buildawhale burnposts/comments. While they do reward people participating in it, anyone can get involved and the outcome is that it brings traffic to our front-ends which is supposed to bring value to all stakeholders of Hive.
Now while poshtoken is nonprofit for me, that doesn't mean I can't profit off of it in different ways, but all these ways are ways that anyone can participate in fairly. For instance I could buy POSH tokens and speculate that maybe this will go up at some point in the future if it gets some kind of utility or if we go back to buying up some tokens to retain their value for sharers and supporters of the project. I could also participate in sharing again alike others and potentially earn some hive and posh by having a hive link do well on reddit.
Point is that I'm not earning from POSH in a fee-based way, I'm not taking a fee for every transaction or upvote or liquidation or that I'm sitting on a stack of POSH that I gave myself because I felt entitled to it for creating the project. Lastly it also doesn't only benefit a small group of people but those actively doing "good" for hive as a whole.
Anyway, thought I'd make a quick post explaining the current pending rewards and lack of liquidity which we hope catches up soon so redditposh can send out rewards as soon as they get paid out while at the same time maybe squashing some rumors or whatever may be spreading because I care enough to try and point out when I see projects going outside of curation.

Sir if you bannd me also your are my favourite person in hive plartfrom.. i have no problem đ i can happy happy take this kick from you .. because i respect you all the time â˛ď¸
Fun fact, you are doing it even at loss because someone has to pay the host and domain for hiveposh site, so you earn nothing out of this but even pay to keep going... And you spend time to check status, shares and such
It is indeed not simple to share there, I lost the count of posts removed, bans and so on, it's time consuming
It would be vote trading if you say "stake POSH to get upvotes" like other projects cough
I never kept the count, I didn't expect to be first on the list đ
Actually that's not true, it was in the beginning but we're using author rewards of poshtoken to pay for servers right now rather than it coming from my own pocket. You can see the 65 hbd going to hiddenblade every now and then (roughly once a month) which gets turned into fiat to then pay for the servers that one of our devs is taking care of the payment provider as they don't accept crypto like privex or other server hosting services.
I do try to send poshtoken some beneficiary rewards now and then from my posts altho lately it's mostly gone towards zing.fund as it's in more dire need for development.
And yeah, I need to get back to sharing soon as well and hope more people join in on it now that we've somewhat made it easier with the hive-friendly subreddit list and I hope it'll be worth it for the people like yourself who got in early to figure stuff out once posh rewards start to dwindle as more users get involved. Count it as an "early adopter" bonus I suppose. :D
Fair enough, at least the server cost is covered
I agree on giving priority to holozing, that's a project to be delivered, people are waiting and such so no doubt in prioritize it
Haha yea experience perk
The more you do, the more things you've done are misinterpreted. So, you are a perfect target for such characters.
Would be fantastic if HivePosh had its own front-end with the full stats available for the sharers and the team and with the interface fully optimized for onboarding new users.
Yeah onbarding through posh or by linking a web2 account has been something cooking in the backburner for a bit now, just hard to find the interested devs with limited funding. Maybe we can have poshtoken generate some extra liquids for this later.
The idea would be to use @pharesim's hiveinvite.com to allow random outsiders to "apply" for a free account by authenticating a login with X, Reddit, bluesky or more in the future. Then they'd have to wait for a manual approval process, basically someone in our team to check the account they authenticated with, give it a glance to see if it looks like a genuine real person and then approve the account request which they then would receive an email or something to gain access to their hive account.
This would then allow us to automatically link their authenticated account to their hive account if they so wish to connect them, they may also choose not to and only use it for the hive account generation. With @peakd then new accounts would automatically already have their X or Reddit linked to their profile and hopefully have an easier time to be welcomed as real users as well.
Either way, hope we can get to this soon.
In terms of a dashboard, not sure if we want to keep sending people outside of our regular front-ends too often. Since we can't fetch impression statistics automatically using their API's it'd be kind of a hassle to have users input their impression screenshots and the viewcounter for the posts they shared manually somewhere outside of the regular front-ends they'd have to remember to go check on a daily basis.
One reason Iâve kept supporting is because I believe you and the team have genuinely good intentions. To be honest, I didnât mind if the rewards were delayed. I just enjoyed the fun of putting my work out there. It kept me in touch with world news and helped pull me out of my comfort zone.
Sure, it can be stressful at times, but as you mentioned, we pick up tricks along the way and things get easier as we get to know the system better.
I really appreciate all the work you do, @acidyo, and the rest of the team. Thank you. :)
Another great educational post from you. I need to participate more in redditposh and I hope to once I am done putting my house on the market and catch up in all other activities that I have been neglecting.
Also, could you please make a post explaining the whole buildawhale thing? I have seen it mentioned negatively in the posts that bpcvoter spamming all over the place, but I still don't know what that is đ
It's just themarkymark voting up comments that basically burn the author reward part, I.e. reducing inflation and burning some of the supply from existence. Voters still earn curation rewards similar to hbd.funder and poshtoken, but the author rewards get removed so in a way it makes all of our HP more scarce.
@buildawhale creates one post and 11 comments a day, all with @null being 100% beneficiary. This means all author rewards earned get sent to null and are burned instead of paying out. This has been burning $10,000-$20,000 worth of Hive/HBD on a monthly basis for years.
The idea is to provide stake holders an alternative way to influence the inflation generated.
This has been explained to blipcorn many times, after about 5000 messages, he finally got it, so he switched the narrative to focus on the curation rewards. Anyone who votes on posts with @null as the beneficiary still earn curation rewards as if they voted any other post. This was also explained to blipcorn, but he insists I am the only one on Hive that should not be allowed to earn curation rewards.
I (@themarkymark and @buildawhale) earn absolutely nothing from burn posts I wouldn't get already by voting any other post on Hive. With the massive waste happening with the DHF and poor automated voting on trending, I feel this is the best use of the inflation based on my available influence, and vote accordingly.
This project has burned (and thus removed from supply) 101,622.43 Hive & 371.565.51 HBD in this time. That is almost $800,000 USD of Hive removed from the supply.
Now blipcorn is going to respond with a million comments and ai generated videos, enjoy.
Thank you for the detailed explanation, now I fully understand what all of this is about. Great way to control some of the Hive inflation. The only potential argument against it would be that it is in a way a vote that says that the are no posts on Hive worthy of a vote and instead you burn 50% of your vote. But it is great to have alternative like your burn posts.
You could say that for every vote.

A Wake-Up Call: Accountability and Redemption in the Hive Ecosystem
To those who believe their actions on the Hive blockchain go unnoticed, itâs time to confront the truth. The power you think you wield through downvotes, vote farming, and manipulation is an illusion. True strength lies in doing whatâs right, not in exploiting systems for personal gain or silencing others out of fear.
1. The Illusion of Power Through Exploitation
If youâre downvoting critics, running coordinated farms, or hoarding influence to control rewards, ask yourself: What does this say about your character? Manipulating Hiveâs reward system doesnât make you powerfulâit exposes vulnerabilities. It shows a reliance on unethical tactics to feel significant in a space that was meant to empower everyone equally.
But hereâs the reality: these actions wonât bring lasting satisfaction. At night, when youâre alone with your thoughts, do you truly believe what youâre doing is right? Regret has a way of lingering, and no amount of HIVE tokens can silence the voice inside telling you thereâs a better path.
2. The Ripple Effect of Your Actions
Your choices donât just harm Hiveâthey affect the people around you. Your online friends may follow along now, but loyalty built on shaky foundations crumbles quickly. And what about your family? Do they understand how much energy you pour into behaviors that ultimately hurt others and yourself?
Every action has consequences, and the deeper you dig, the harder it becomes to climb out. Youâre not just harming Hiveâyouâre pulling those close to you into a cycle of negativity and regret. Is it worth it?
3. Change Before Itâs Too Late
The Bilpcoin team isnât here to attack individualsâweâre here to spark change. Weâve seen the evidence, and we know the impact of manipulative practices. But we also believe in redemption. Thereâs still time to step back, reflect, and choose a different path.
Ask yourself:
Hive deserves better. So do you.
4. Strength Lies in Doing Whatâs Right
Real power comes from integrity, not manipulation. Instead of focusing on how many tokens you can farm or how many users you can silence, consider how you can add value to the ecosystem. Create meaningful content, support genuine contributors, and advocate for reforms that benefit everyoneânot just a select few.
If you continue down your current path, remember this: you are being watched. Many stay silent, but they see everything. Blockchain data doesnât lie, and accountability always comes knockingâwhether today, tomorrow, or years from now.
5. A Final Plea: Fix What Needs Fixing
Itâs never too late to change course. Stop the farming, stop the toxicity, and start contributing to Hive in ways that uplift rather than tear down. If youâre struggling with why youâve chosen this path, take a moment to reflect. Seek help if neededâthereâs no shame in admitting youâve lost your way.
The Hive community is watching, waiting, and hoping for positive change. Will you rise to the occasion, or will you let regret define your journey? The choice is yours.
From the Bilpcoin Team: Weâre committed to helping Hive thrive by exposing the truth and fostering transparency. Letâs work together to build a stronger, fairer ecosystemâone where everyone has a chance to succeed.
What will your next move be?

Letâs cut through the noise and address one of the most pressing issues holding Hive back from reaching its full potential: abusive downvotes. The Bipcoin team has consistently exposed the systemic problems that stifle growth on this platform, yet little to no action has been taken. If Hive is to thrive, we must confront these challenges head-on instead of engaging in empty discussions that lead nowhere.
Hive cannot grow if nothing changes. How can new users and smaller creators flourish when they are constantly suppressed by those who exploit the system? Many so-called âwhalesâ contribute nothing meaningful to the ecosystemâinstead, they focus solely on farming rewards through manipulative tactics like mass self-voting, spam content, or coordinated downvoting campaigns. These actions discourage genuine participation and erode trust within the community.
Blockchain transactions donât lie. Weâve seen firsthand the shady methods used to game the systemâwhether itâs creating alt accounts to amplify votes, orchestrating downvote brigades, or hoarding influence without giving back to the network. Why does this behavior continue unchecked? Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words, and until concrete steps are taken to address these abuses, Hive will struggle to move forward.
We have repeatedly presented evidence of these practices, not to divide but to demand accountability. The truth is out there for anyone willing to look at the data. Yet, despite our efforts, the cycle persists. Today, weâre asking again: Can we finally talk about the real issues plaguing Hive? And more importantly, can we take decisive action to protect the integrity of this platform?
Do not let bullies destroy what makes Hive special. Abuse of power through downvotes and manipulation harms everyoneâcreators, curators, and the community as a whole. Itâs time to fight back against these toxic practices and create an environment where all voices can be heard and rewarded fairly.
The Bipcoin team remains committed to exposing the truth and advocating for meaningful change. But we canât do it alone. Together, letâs push for solutions that ensure Hive becomes a place of opportunity, fairness, and growthâfor everyone.
Enough talk. Letâs see action.

Are you sure about that? Transactions donât lie.
Why not make a post showing all the curation rewards youâve earned with your army of alt accounts? Or explain the massive Hive Power delegations from @blocktrades that fuel your operations?
Hereâs the data for everyone to see:

The evidence is clearâyour operations are propped up by massive delegations and fueled by systemic abuse. Itâs time to stop hiding behind excuses and address the truth. If youâre so confident, prove us wrong with transparency instead of baseless insults.

Weâre going to reveal some other accounts using the #splinterlands hashtag to gain extra votes. As weâve said before, the Bipcoin team is here to expose the truth and ensure transparency within the community. Stay tuned for more evidence.

wow over 20k hive sent out so far in total!
I really wish that there was a way to see how many people we have actually got creating accounts on Hive thanks to coming from Reddit.
yeah that's the hard part, we could technically share peakd referral links with each share but I'm pretty sure most subreddits would automatically ban that and we already have trouble as it is. :D
Each person chooses the best strategy in this competition. In my case, I never focused on getting more views. Especially because views on Reddit are fallible. If you constantly refresh the article, it will get more and more views.
My strategy is to seek out smaller communities and try to interact in the comments. As in this case. It's in Portuguese but, in short, the person asked me to talk more about the HIVE platform.
After a brief explanation, I don't leave my referral link, but I refer any questions the person may have to the messages. Or possible interest in opening an account with HIVE. This is my strategy in this RedditPosh activity.
Rewards and self-voting are a complex issue; no one should interfere with that, but we should always support the Hive ecosystem to improve.
You need to somehow secure some money to support those who actively participate in this. I don't understand anything, but those who program, organize, or dedicate their time to this should at least be compensated. I always used poshtoken on X (formerly Twitter), not much on Reddit since it's not a platform I use much. Keep it up, friend.

Awesome! I was always confused when (and why?) those posh notifications arrived below my posts from time to time, and had no idea what it's all about. Thanks to stumbling on this post and just now having 5 minutes to spare, I found it all, and much more information. Thank you for this post and keep up the great work.
Question though: Does it work only with Twitter, or also with FB and all that stuff?
