We do the BeerSaturday on Hive since many Years and I like to see if we can get more visibility with Reddit and posh.
Sadly, I’m not a Reddit user with a lot knowledge so, can someone explain and advice how we might use the challenge - where people win a bit crypto - to gain more users for Hive as many people love beer.

Switching to English. Reddit was my personal enemy (started an accou nt over 10 years ago but hardly used it) until some months ago as of this initiative - I learned how to use this a bit - it is full of tons of subreddits for any topic you can imagine - all with their own rules and mods that often hate blog posts and self promotion from sites as we are (even though some friendly ones are in existence - these are the ones we try to psot to by also avpoiding too much spam) - some of us got posts deleted or even banned in many subs - hence every subreddit rules have to be checked before submitting - but even that is no guarantee.
Re BEER - there is one subreddit I tried - but sharing a Hive post was not appreciated (self promotion - often you read no trusted source haha): https://www.reddit.com/r/beer/
Maybe check them out also on the right rules and links they published. When you scroll down you can see they even have sub subreddit per US region and others :-)
So there might be options - especially for a networking genius that lives and breathes Beer @detlev :-). Alwways worth to contact their mod team directly and educate them about Hive and your Beer stuff - convince them it is cool and that we get kind of "whitelisted" - depends on the mod you are talking to. Some subreddit have "daughter subs" - so maybe a sub sub Beersaturday could be an option to suggest apart from regional ones.
Of course you can also create your own subreddit for it (and if good they weill ask you to join the family) - but not sure it helps to get people from the outside onboard, maybe by clever crossposting in the official Beer subreddit in case.
I had one share that worked "ok" but was posted in sub Slovenia (country sub, not Beer sub regional):

Haha - i know that - the coolest subreddit at all - had that and worked 3 months to raise my karma especially comment karma by engaging, not necessarily below my own shares but in friendly subs and now I finally am qualified to post on the crypto subreddit (but even there we discussedf to give all of us a certain limit so max 2 posts week otherwise too many hive/peakd/ecency/inleo links there - just yesterday got a comment by a German guy who said "this peakd site is cancer and full of low effort content" - hence i deleted my post he commented on - we try to have a good relation to the big subreddits at least.

So my experience: While crypto, economic, political, certain science/tech content works ok (if you hit the right time, the right sub with following the sub rules) - some of these broad topics are not easy -depoends on your own target of course.
In music, travel, beer is hard to get views from Reddit - especially given there are tons of subreddits, in music e.g. for any genre (I am not even allowed yet to post in Techno sub yet while there are too many specialized subs all with different rules). , in Beer a lot regional subs do exist (linking to your #beersaturday) and travel as well - there are some general ones but for any thinkable destination in the world dedicated subreddits.
So it is possible to get good views depending on post - in general using one huge subreddit probably is not working (apart you talk to mods and negotiate deals maybe).

Reddit is different - but what I appreciate there - many folks with great knowledge - if we talk about Engagement on Hive we should check Reddit, there is a lot engagement (high quality often)
And it might also be good to stay away from German subs and in general to get into discussion on content - they barbecue you until they can delete posts - hence sometimes better not replying

Hey! Every subreddit has its own rules so you can't know in advance how they will react although reading the rules of each subreddit can help you to get a general idea of what is allowed and what is not. So I ll describe how I see contest-related onboarding but I can't know for sure without trying.
I would create a nicely written list of writing contests on Hive including BeerSaturday contest, top 10 or top 20 - with short but clear descriptions of each contest - and would promote this page on Reddit. I would search for
Writing subreddits can be tricky and can delete such a link, whether it's mentioned in comments or shared. But you won't know for sure without trying.
Small money earners - this looks easier. There are many "beermoney" (coincidentally 😄) subreddits on Reddit and they are supposed to allow such promotion.
Hive has an advantage: it allows people from developing countries to earn - . You can share posts in beermoney subs but you also can follow these subs to monitor posts and reply in comments + messages - of course, talking to people personally works much better.

There is a huge platform where writing content creators hang out - medium.com.
Many people come hoping to earn $$$ on Medium but can't manage to earn even 10$ monthly but they want it since they believe writing is their destiny or/and they need pocket money. Secondly, Medium doesn't pay to citizen of many countries like Brazil, Ukraine, etc. Thousands of people from Medium would be happy to write posts on Hive. Medium people are better for onboarding (imo) than Reddit users - Redditors are often conformists, following the crowd, while Medium users are content creators searching for opportunities.
Wow - this sounds interesting not only for my beer stuff. We run as well worldmappin where we have a lot of quality content as we manually curate the 120 to 180 posts we get from travellers each day.
The travel digest shows the daily top 3 travel post with high quality and why not try to find a place on medium or Reddit for this to spread out the coolness of Hive.

The Nestlé blog was very old content and I am not sure if posh works on content I wrote years ago so I didn't added peakd link at that time. Nor I was thinking much about hive/medium when I did it.
But the same medium blog contains hive blog's link as ORIGINALLY POSTED on hive.blog on x date and if u click hive.blog, it redirects to hive
So it's like click funnels. One reddit takes to medium then that medium took to hive.

I have done this when I started as per Acid's advice.
Some subs are a mystery what they accept or not, sometimes get message "deleted as of Reddit filters" after following all sub rules and using all UIs whie others can share there.
Some give comment "deleted as ecency or hive.blog or peakd.com are not trusted sources" but others can share.
Really time consuming to read and act according to any sub rules - but in the end it is fun and exciting to wait "are we accepted or not lol" :-)

Ok! I think before I posted it, the same way. So I didn't read the new article about that, can you please tell me how to make screenshots without an image? One more thing, dear x-rain, my vegan recipes are receiving a good response, and people usually like to leave comments. I respond to them just as we do here in Hive. However, someone has downvoted my comments, even though I didn't know it. One user indicated it to me, and I checked all my posts today. I noticed that all the comments are downvoted. Do you know why this is happening? And who is doing this? Regards and best of luck in the contest.
@hindavi, Share your post straight from your laptop. When posting to Reddit, choose the link format instead of the image format. This way, your post will appear in the subreddit as text with a thumbnail photo on the side. The photos might appear smaller, which can mean fewer likes, but more people tend to click the link to Hive.
Also, don’t worry too much about the downvotes. I completely understand how it feels when something you worked hard on gets downvoted, especially when the idea is good. Unfortunately, there will always be unhappy people, and sometimes just one bad apple can spoil things.
Try exploring other subreddits too, and spread out your posts. If we share too frequently in one place, it can sometimes be seen as spam. There’s a subreddit called r/eatcheapandvegan. Have a look at their rules so your post doesn’t get removed- you'll need to comment a brief recipe. You are doing great!

Sad my Italian is so bad (or bettter not existing) - I understand a bit based on speaking French / Spanish only
Not so bad if you didn't use a translator, it's not easy to learn, similar to Spanish tough as style
I used to do my studies in South of France (Nice) - often been to San Remo then (40km from Nice I think) to buy petrol and I also speak Spanish - but Italian is still to me more different as the relation Spamnisch to French - but i understand a bit :-)

I also like cheese :-) -football the only sport i am really interested in, also the reason i haerdly can walk anymore after three massive injuries :-) but still give me that ball and I have to play even it hurts for a week thereafter.

Not only Italian food but I love pasta, frutti di mare (especially done by Italian folks, they simply do it better) - not that much a pizza fan but anything with pasta is my thing. Not a fan of the usual German food apart from some good BBQ steak stuff (vegans will kill me)
Oh pasta I eat it every lunch, if it's not pasta then tortellini or gnocchi
Pizza depends really on how they make it, Napoli one is very different from the normal one but abroad Italy I think they can't do it, you should home make it
BBQ meat is good world wide 😅
